Someone has told me that his reading scheme is always spoiled by the lack of time. I could not approve of this. One cannot be too busy to find out time to read. If a reading hour is used in a day, three hundred and sixty-five eading hours will be accumulated in a year. Step by step, one goes far. Extraordinary achievements will be gained n any research field. Odd hours are most valuable but most easily be cast off. Two lines written by Lu Fangweng lash in my mind: "Lit the fire myself as the servant boy failed my call, while waiting the meal I still can do some
reading." This impressed me deeply. Waiting for the meal is tantalizing. However, isn't it wonderful to use it toread? We often idle away our time with no consciousness.

Someone has told me that…;“他想读一点书,苦于没有时间”实际上可理解为“他的读书计划总是因为没有时间而被打乱”,故可翻译成his reading scheme is always spoiled by the lack oftime。
0ne cannot be too busy to find out time to read.
Ifa reading hour is used in a day。 Ifyou spend all hour a day on readingo
IMany a little makes a mickle或者Every little helps。范文译成Step by step,one goes far。
Lit the fire myself as the servant boy failed my call, while waiting the meal I still Can do some readin9.句中the servant boy failed my call言简意赅,比直译成I called the servant boy,but he didn’t hear me要形象得多,因为原句强调的是“僮不应”的状态,而不是“呼”的动作。
11.于不知不觉中:with no consciousness,还可以译为unconsciously。
