Why they're asking this: Colleges want to know if you've faced (and overcome) any significant challenges in your life. They also want to see that you’re persistent and willing to work hard in order to overcome these obstacles.

Question 14: What Makes You Unique?

Why they're asking this: This question is essentially what all the other questions above are meant to determine. It's another general question that's often difficult to answer. We are all unique, but it can be hard to put into words exactly what separates you from other people.

Question 15: You have 2 minutes to tell me anything else about your self and your aspirations.

The student should prepare this section – this should be a strong finish to the interview. The student could explain his or her strong motivation to attend that university or to study that particular major.

申请出国留学，面试方式：

1. 机面：机面就是类似于考试，会播放一段视频，里面有一些题或者一段文字，有一定的时间让面试者准备，通过录像的形式来一次性记录回答。

2. 传统通话phone：传统意义上的电话问答。

3. ZOOM视频通话：通过ZOOM的视频APP与面试官进行网络面对面的问答。

4. Onsite面试：实地面对面的面试，由于地理位置关系往往不会采取这类面试。

面试中要注意的技巧：

1. 面试要像对话交流一样生动。很多人面试的时候，没有注意到礼貌问题，尤其是机面，很多人看到问题就开始回答，没有简单的向面试官介绍自己，面试官会觉得不被重视，丧失存在感，因此适当的自我介绍与问好可以帮助取得良好的初步印象。

2. 面试时要注意眼神交流。回答问题时直视面试官并适当的进行眼神互动，这是有礼貌的表现。

3. 适当的停顿，可以让对方更好地抓住你说的要点，更利于你的交流。比如使用一些常见的语气词，you know，在面试中适当的停顿一下，让对方看看有没有follow up your question。这容易给面试官留下较深的印象。

4. 着装得体。因为是视频面试，所以我们对着装方面的讲究也不能有半点马虎。既然是面对面的交流，那么得体大方的穿着也传达着对面试官的尊重，和重视程度的信息。
